15m Elevated Mast Inspections
Sometimes drone flights are not permitted or legal, right?
Along with our fleet of drones, aerial cameras and thermal imaging sensors, we operate camera poles and masts up to 15m which is more than enough to get in close to roofs, chimneys and guttering at up to three (3) story properties.
Drone flights are subject to significant legal restrictions, are weather dependent and require communication and briefing of all those within 30m of take-off and landing, and 50m of the flight path. To satisfy these legal restrictions both time and cost will be added to the project, so sometimes using a professional aerial photographic mast is the answer and the right tool for the job.
We use state-of-the-art industry camera and inspection masts that can be deployed quickly and efficiently to obtain the same aerial imagery that you would get from one of our drone flights, but without the legal requirements, costs and planning. We are not restricted to legal distances that drones are required to operate at, so getting in close to your roof, chimney and gutting is quick and simple.
Clients can view the imagery in real-time during the inspection, plus the session can be relayed and directed over the internet for viewing from distance.
How much will an inspection by Mast cost?
The cost for a survey and inspection by Mast is a lot more simple to calculate, but does depend on the job and location. Use this link to provide the details we need to complete an accurate quotation. As a guide most inspections can be completed at a guide price of £95 +vat. Thermal Imagery will be more, and there may be travel fee to add. Get in touch for specific estimate.
Roof Inspections
Regular roof inspections really are something that will pay dividends over the years with the National Roofing Contractors Association recommend that regular professional inspections are ideal to keep your roof in top condition alongside less formal checks carried out by the homeowner. Asphalt and wooden shingled roofs should be inspected every three years with tiled roofs being professionally examined every five years.
Guttering Inspection
In the case of gutters, prevention is definitely better than cure. A neglected gutter can lead to the degradation of the whole system, prevent roof drainage and even lead to water ingress and a costly repair bill. Regular inspection is recommended to spot problems before they develop into anything more serious – annual monitoring is ideal although this should be more frequent if the guttering is near to trees that can cause additional silt build-up and blockages.
Chimney Inspection
Access to the property chimney’s can be difficult and dangerous, however, some of the main problems befalling domestic roofs can be found around the chimney areas. Lead flashing and pointing can be one of the first things to weather and also the hardest to see from the ground. Using a mast with high powered zoom camera equipment can get images in close showing detail and guiding the project before anyone has to leave the ground.
Domestic Solar Panels
Domestic solar panels are now a familiar sight on the rooftops of the UK, but many people fail to carry out the necessary maintenance to make sure that they are getting the most from their investment. Faults in your panel, either caused during the installation process or occurring over time, can not only mean that your panel’s productivity falls. It can also cause fire risk and so many companies recommend a biennial inspection to ensure safety as well as optimal performance.
