Alex Jones from the BBC One Show – “Mother Of All Challenges”

We’ve been very pleased to be playing our small part in the Sport Relief Mother of all Challenges that Alex Jones from the BBC One Show plus her four brave mum accomplices have been through.

This was an incredible challenge for all taking part

Day 1 – Swimming in Loch Ness

Day 2 – Hiking Hellvellyn

Day 3 – Cycling through Lake District Passes

Day 4 – Crawling through the Brecon Beacons caverns

Day 5 – A hilly welsh coastal marathon run

So when we say we played a small part, you can see from the list of the challenges these brave mums faced together, they really were doing all the tough stuff.  We were happy to provide aerial coverage for some of the training filming and the final day’s Welsh marathon.

The weather was kind on both of our filming days although the water at Eton Dorney certainly wasn’t so friendly for the intrepid swimmers!  The Welsh coastline provided a stunning backdrop in the sunshine for the final day of the challenge and I’m sure that even those doing the running got to enjoy at least some of that spectacular scenery – it was certainly a joy to film.

This incredible challenge raised over three quarters of a million pounds for the Sport Relief fund and I’m sure that this will be already making a huge difference in people’s lives around the country and around the world.
